Made for the thumbnail.

On Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop, a product is a small square in a grid. These listing images and campaign posts are built to be understood at that size, and to hold up when someone taps in.

01The brief

Theo10 sells on its own website and on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop. In a marketplace grid, the listing image is what a shopper sees before deciding whether to tap. It has to say what the product is, why it is worth a look, and that it comes from the real brand.

The job: one image system that makes each product clear at thumbnail size, and that stretches to campaign and social posts.

02The constraints

  • The image is square and shown small, so the product has to be big and the text short.
  • Each product has its own claims, such as soap-free, sensitive skin or ceramide, and they have to read without a block of text.
  • Size matters to a shopper, so volume gets its own tag: 60ml, 1,000ml or Bundle.
  • Shoppers should be able to tell the official Theo10 store from other sellers at a glance.
  • The limited edition body washes each come with their own scene and colour, so the layout has to hold up on very different backgrounds.

03What I did

Product first. The bottle or tube takes up most of the square. Around it sits a scene that hints at the scent: lychee and tea leaves, a Singapore Sling with pineapple, a plate of toast.

Three round badges, one size tag. Claims go in a fixed stack of round badges on the right. For the body wash they read soap-free, sensitive skin and all natural. The size, or the word Bundle, sits in a green tag at the bottom right. The limited editions add a red LIMITED ribbon in the top corner.

An Official Store header. On the range listings, a leaf badge marked Official Store sits at the top of the image, in the same place every time.

04Limited editions

The limited edition body washes are the real test of the system. Each has a new scent, a new scene and a new colour, yet the badge stack, size tag and ribbon stay where they were. Some images keep the scene clean; the others add the full set.

05Campaign and social posts

Same parts, new jobs. The renders, round badges and leaf mark carry over into campaign graphics. A three-step routine shows which product does what. A claims graphic wraps the Official Store header, a laurel wreath and three badges around the tube. An oral gel banner pairs the bottle and applicator with a photo and a QR code. A New Year greeting swaps the product for a skyline and a mascot.

The words and claims on these graphics, including the sales count and the results headline, are Theo10's own marketing claims. They are not results of the design work.

06The result

  • 9 listingssix limited edition images and three range images, sharing one badge and size-tag system.
  • 3 badgeson each badged listing, in the same stack, with the claims changed to fit the product.
  • 4 graphicsfor campaigns and social: a routine, a claims graphic, an oral gel banner and a New Year post, all carrying the leaf mark.
Design for the smallest square, and the bigger version takes care of itself.
